XRP Whale Holdings Rise 2.8% As Token Briefly Reclaims $1.16

XRP wallets holding between 100,000 and 100 million tokens increased their combined balances by 2.8% over the past five weeks, adding to their positions as the token recovered from its late-June lows.

The accumulation covered the wallet tiers Santiment classifies as XRP sharks and whales. Its wallet distribution chart tracked the increase alongside a 5.2% reduction in balances held by wallets containing less than 0.01 XRP.

XRP briefly moved above $1.16 on Tuesday before surrendering part of the advance. The token traded near $1.06 on Wednesday, with the rebound following a June decline that pushed prices below $1.

Large XRP transfers had cooled before the latest price move. The number of XRP Ledger transactions worth more than $1 million recently fell from 70 to two in one week, reducing exchange and onchain movement from the largest holders even as their combined balances increased.

Micro Wallet Balances Fall 5.2%

Wallets holding less than 0.01 XRP reduced their aggregate balances by 5.2% during the same five-week period. Those addresses sit at the smallest end of the XRP distribution range and include abandoned, emptied or minimally funded accounts alongside active retail users.

The divergence developed as XRP Ledger wallet creation accelerated. The network recorded a three-month high in new wallet growth near the end of June while XRP tested the $1 support level.

Santiment has previously found XRP price performance more closely aligned with the behavior of large holders than with changes among the smallest wallet tiers. The latest data places the 100,000-to-100-million XRP cohort in accumulation during the five weeks leading into Tuesday’s recovery.

XRP Rebounds From July Lows

XRP entered July near $1 after losing ground alongside weaker large-cap crypto markets. The token later recovered through $1.10 and reached $1.16 as Bitcoin returned above $65,000.

The price move arrived while institutional and network activity continued around XRP. Spot XRP exchange-traded funds returned to inflows earlier in the quarter, while the XRP Ledger attracted $1.9 billion in net real-world asset inflows over a 90-day period.

Wallets holding 100,000 to 100 million XRP finished the five-week period with 2.8% more tokens, while the sub-0.01 XRP cohort held 5.2% less.
